Their Story

A vineyard in the desert? You bet! Since 2002, Oak Creek Vineyards & Winery has been crafting a broad range of fine wines, helping put northern Arizona’s Verde Valley on the wine map. Our ten-acre, high desert estate vineyard sits at a 3,400-foot elevation and borders Oak Creek, which runs along Page Springs Road, home to our winery. In the vineyard, we grow everything from Chardonnay, Merlot and Zinfandel to Syrah and Tempranillo, as well as making Fume Blanc, Pinot Gris, Grenache Blanc, Cream Sherry, Port and several proprietary blends from both estate and purchased grapes

The estate vineyard and winery is located in the Verde Valley in northern Arizona, roughly 100 miles north of Phoenix. The valley is 35 miles long and encompasses a variety of incredibly scenic high desert landscapes, most notably the amazing red rock formations near Sedona.

The area surrounding our winery on Page Springs Road was settled originally by Native American peoples dating back to the 8th century

Our Visit

Great visit to Arizona.  This vineyard wasn't as big as many but what it lacked in size was the amazing red wines they produced.  Two great take aways we doubled up on was the Oak Creek Fire and the the Syrah.  Such amazing flavors as well as textures.  I'm trying to decide what food pairing to compliment it with.  The whites were pretty good but the red's took over the conversation.  Highly recommend them.  A unique Gerwurztraminer, Chardonnay Riesling blend was very interesting (Artist white blend) .  Nice summer wine to relax with with not as much sweetness.  The Chardonnay did its job.  If you can't visit.  It is worth ordering a few bottles from this winery.
